German factories have adopted scissor-type elevators to modernize their workshops.
In Cologne, Germany, a well-known automotive parts manufacturer – Kautzberg Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd., recently launched a large-scale modernization project for its production workshop. Due to limited indoor space, narrow passageways, and uneven ground, traditional elevators often experience jams or instability, resulting in reduced efficiency and increased safety risks. Project manager Michael was tasked with finding a compact and adaptable solution for the elevator – his search eventually led him to China.
After comparing with multiple suppliers, he ultimately chose the multi-terrain hydraulic small scissor-type elevator produced by Shandong Maya Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. The chassis width of this equipment is only 800 millimeters, allowing it to easily pass through all internal passageways. The hydraulic lifting system ensures smooth vertical movement, even on slightly uneven workshop floors, providing a reliable and safe environment for operation.
After the equipment was delivered, Tom’s team deployed this elevator to multiple production lines to perform tasks such as duct installation, overhead cable management, and fire sprinkler testing. Previously, these tasks required three workers to complete, but now only one operator using this elevator can accomplish them, thereby saving labor costs and improving work efficiency. “This small scissor-type elevator far exceeded our expectations,” Tom said. “It has improved production efficiency and enhanced our workplace safety standards. It is indeed one of the key tools in our modernization project.”
The company is currently considering adding more of the same model of equipment to other workshops for long-term maintenance and equipment upkeep.
